There is a definite chill in the air today and with the cold front comes a change in skincare. Move over summer skincare products, its time for fall. Break out the oils, creamy moisturizers, and hydrating mists.
My daily morning routine starts with micellar water. This product is a true game changer. I haven’t found an all natural one that I love, yet. (But I am on the lookout!) If you know of one, please let me know in the comments below.
Next up, I like to use an antioxidant serum, followed by a hydrating mist, oil, and cream. I know it sounds like one step too many, but I promise it goes fast. It will leave your skin hydrated and glowing.
Take note that I do have acne prone combination skin and my foundations and bb creams all contain a high SPF.
The Perfect C Serum by MyChelle contains one of the highest concentrations of Vitamin C I have ever seen. It claims to reduce visible lines and wrinkles, brighten, perfect, and strengthen skin.
Advanced multi-tasking Vitamin C formula reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles. A high active level of 17% L-Ascorbic Acid, the only effective anti-aging form of Vitamin C, and Buddleja Plant Stem Cells brighten, protect against photo-damage, and combat the visible signs of aging. Dermatologist and Allergy tested.
Marula Oil by Acure is one of the first all natural skincare items I ever tried. Here are their claims:
Rich in proteins and omega fatty acids, lightweight, and easily absorbed, Marula works wonders on dry skin, split ends, and squeaky hinges. Seriously, I used some on a door hinge once and it fixed it.
Works wonders on:
dry, chapped skin, scars and fine lines:
Reducing skin redness
Helps maintain skin’s natural acid mantle
Last winter, my combination oily skin turned to combination dry. The change in season had a drastic effect on my skin and I needed some extra hydration stat! Moisturizing oils can be used by themselves or you can add a couple of drops to your daily moisturizer. I went from a few drops to slathering it all over my face in no time. Marula oil is my go to moisturizer for the cooler months and it works great under makeup. Just be sure to let it sink in before you apply foundation.
Probiotic + C Renewal Cream by Andalou is one of my favorite day creams. It is hydrating and soothing. Keep in mind that it this cream is on the thick side which makes it ideal for use in cooler months. Here are the claims:
Fruit stem cell complex, vitamin C, and skin-friendly probiotic microflora enzymatically support dermal vitality, targeting over-exposed surface cells for a lighter, tighter, brighter looking appearance and a luminous complexion.
What are your fall skincare favorites for daytime?
