Simple Garlic Broccoli

Simple garlic broccoli may be a simple recipe, but it is seriously good. It is one of my go to side dishes for weeknights. To make it even quicker, prep the broccoli florets when you get home from the store. Store the broccoli in a ziplock bag with a couple of paper towels to keep it fresh until you are ready to make it. Easy peasy.

Roasted Broccoli 2

Ingredients

1-2 heads of broccoli

olive oil

salt

pepper

1 tsp garlic powder

¼ tsp red chili flakes

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450.
  2. Chop the broccoli into florets. Wash and dry thoroughly. If the broccoli isn’t dry, it will steam instead of roasting.
  3. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment. Add the broccoli, salt, pepper, garlic powder, chili flakes, and drizzle with olive oil.
  4. Toss the broccoli until it is nicely coated and spread into an even layer.
  5. Roast for 15 minutes, flip, and roast for 15 more. Until the broccoli is golden brown.
